    Bifold doors- contacts location

I have a cable from door/window combination from before extending. One cable came to the window location and that went to magnetic contact in widow and from there to magnetic contact in nearby door. I plan to extend this cable to the bifold door location and daisy chain contacts for the doors as...

    Bifold doors- contacts location

On bifold doors what type and where is the best place to position the alarm contacts? It is a 4 door confusion. Door 2 is master and bifolds onto 3 and 4, door 1 can be opened when master is opened. Hope this makes sense.

    Daisy chain Texacom PIR sensors

I just noticed in my Wintex that under ZONE WIRING the PIR zone is set to 2K2/4K7/(6K8) and not as EOL. Does this have any significance?

So is it done on a daisy chain, i.e just connect mirror cable to the one on which I am piggybacking from, or more complicated?

    Daisy chain Texacom PIR sensors

How can I check? The installer did tell me that it wouldn't be a problem to add another sensor from the existing. Does this photo show eol or double .pole?

    Daisy chain Texacom PIR sensors

I want to add a PIR sensor to the same zone where there is an existing one. Can this be done by just connecting a cable to the contacts of existing one and mirroring it into new PIR?

    Radiator positioning question

Thanks alot for this. UFH is an issue because we would need to get a new feed to boiler through house and not economic as boiler in loft. Electric UFH is supposed to be much more expensive to run. Kitchen is existing with cabinets both sides so only space is where currently positioned fig1...

Vertical radiators as good? Online BTU calcs huge variations

We are looking to install heating to our 6m X 6m X 2.8h extension. We have an issue with space. 3 exposed walls and approx 16m2 of window (patio doors and roof windows). Walls roof and floor are well insulated. I have tried different online BTU calculators and have come up with wildly different...

    Temporarily disable contacts/sensors

Ok, very much appreciated. PIR is on same zone as another PIR and I rather not disable whole zone. Is it reasonable to just use another piece of alarm cable and twist the correct colour to correct colour and reconnect it allowing to hang in a safe space? or perhaps electric connector block.

Sorry I dont seem to have as many cables as you mentioned - or are there more behind the facia? Which of these wires would I twist together? I can see Yellow = Tamper Blue = Alarm Red = 12 V Black = cant see...
