yes, dont know what else was changed at the time the boiler was replaced but if another old part may need replacing eg pump, then anyone will charge you, if the boiler is kettling then your installer should have p/flushed, eas this done, there's lots of questions that could be asked, ultimatly...

the label is printed and stuck on by the manufacturer, how does it perform on h/w, have you contacted the landlord about this, they must have a regular installer.

this boiler is less than a year old, wheres your installer, its still under warranty contact the manufacturer if the boiler has a problem as i said, its still warrantied.

could be air in the system or a pump problem. if you cant check these get someone out.

the model number will be on a label behind the front drop down flap, 2 plastic screws with a cross head on the top corners of the front panel, the pressure gauge looks very low by your picture, boiler mmay have no water in it if the temp is racing up.

a boiler make would be helpful, if it is a 80's boiler it will probably not require a pump over-run, the pump stops with the boiler as it is supposed to.

as this appliance was changed in feb this year, have you not asked your installer to check gas rates etc, which he would have no doubt done at the time of install, if i had been the installer i would be curious to know why it was consuming gas at the rate you are assuming, call your installer :!:

there's nothing difficult in wiring this in if your are reasonably competent at electrics, honeywells are the make of prog room stats i use, as they are pretty user freindly, the mechanical clock can be unplugged and discarded if you use a prog room stat, and as for do the clocks commonly have...

install a wired/wireless prog stat, whichever is appropriate, if your ok with electrics it will be quite a simple job. you can leave the built in time control on constantly then and control on and offs from the new stat :idea:

CDi's are very good boilers, heat engine is fantastic and has been around for years, get an worcester approved installer and they should be able to offer you a 5 year warranty, worcester back up is very good also, dont know if i would fit a combi ina soon to be 4-5 bed house though :!:
