Bleed the air out or not!

If you haven't bled it until water comes out how do you know the coolness is air and not cool water? Are you sure you have flow through the rad? Has it just been fitted? Was the system drained, bunged or frozen? ie has the rest of the system refilled ok? Has it been working properly? Are both...

    Vaillant ecopro max 28e

What did this mean then, 'Yes its a very good little boiler', and 'Unless your house is huge it should do nicely'? If you're really stabbing in the dark why not get a pro to come and explain- or are you thinking of taking it on yourself?

    Vaillant ecopro max 28e

You should stand for parliament with those kind of non-answers! :D If I was the customer I'd take 'suggest' and 'recommend' pretty much the same way- but I think I get your drift. Cheers.

    Vaillant ecopro max 28e

Does he not mean the Ecomax Pro 28E? The 'standard' condensing boiler for open vented (or kit sealed systems), as opposed to the 6 series system boilers. The 8 series are combies. Here's the result. Bear in mind that this system was thoroughly flushed through the boiler fill loop down separately the flow and return each having its own drain off. Filled up with hot (showing 45C once in the pump) supply from combi and turned on. Water went straight to black. So PF and hot...

    money saving DIY system flush?

This will make an interesting experiment. I've just fitted a new combi onto an old system. It won't be powerflushed until tomorrow when its commissioned. However, I flushed it through as usual using the fill loop an the drain offs (one each on flow an return) and using the flow and return valves...
