    Baxi 105e always on - wi-fi thermostat

I have a baxi duo tec, i also have a remote thermostat/timer unit. If yours is similar to mine, then: i would make sure that the reciever is wired correctly, piece of mind if nothing else. I would put new batteries in, and re-sync it, follow the link...

    Replacing Triton electric shower

As previously said, check the size of cable you got coming from your board, if your looking toward the more powerful end of scale your going to need 10mm cable. I managed to swap a triton for a triton, it sounds daft but i just looked for one that looked the same! On opening it up, in essance...

    bleed valve (rad)

Id pop in/phone a plumbers merchents to be sure you can get replacements, tho im sure any plumbers on here will know. The plastic is just a guide, so the water comes out of the hole, making bleeding cleaner. doesnt seal the rad. I wouldnt refit the rubber seal again personally, if its been there...

    Macerator

Im sure there is a non return valve on the waste outlet to prevent backflow, as onecog mentioned, if you have a slight but constant flow from the cistern, the macerator will spin eventually.

    Adding a Rad

Concuring with whitespirit, i have fitted drain offs to all my down stairs rads for ease, when draining may be required, when filling if you have the luxury of another person, ensure all bleed valves are shut, and rad valves open, fill to 1.5bar and start bleeding upstairs, whilst doing so get...

    wood pellet boilers

Have you looked at baxi? I was chatting to a baxi rep last month, about renewables etc, and he absolutely raved about a pellet burner baxi have, fully automatic and very efficient. he was saying it can also be made as a feature, as i think the combustion chamber is visable.

One cold radiator - what else to try?

Maybe the pump is on its way out, if your valves are all good etc. it must be working its nuts off to push the water through, my house had 8mm throughout with a manifold just below the combi, so some of the runs were 15m long and the house is only a 2 bed! Needless to say i didnt even test it...

    Durgo/air admittance valves

As far as im aware the house has a common soil pipe, where the kitchen and bathroom are tapped into it, and it exits through the roof to vent. Also to add another spanner! Theres a downstairs toilet which is connected to a saniflo.

    New radiators

I would consider not just new rads, but putting in a total new system if its years old. A combi operates in the region of 1.5 bar, if your system is that old and you put that pressure through it, there is a chance you could end up with a sprinkler system! I helped gut a house a few years ago...

    Durgo/air admittance valves

Hi, popping my cherry with my first post! In the process of putting a new bathroom in my bro's house, space is limited as its only 1700x1800, on removing the very large box section (1sq ft) where the soil pipe is, it became apparant why the box was so big, the soil pipe is massively on the wonk...
