    there are afew manufactureres of glassfibre strand coating that is like thick solvent based porrage, (Grey in colour). We put some on our roof in 1991 and its still water tight and looks to last a lot longer yet. Its about £65 for 15 ltrs but worth it.

    Do a fast job by hiring a 'single tool' road compressor and buy a hand held air chisel from Northern Tools or machine mart with a selection of chisel heads. Whole lot for about £80 and spend one weekend blasting the lot off. No smashed thumbs, no aching joints and much much faster than by hand...
