It's not clear where it's separated but if it's where the White bit goes into the black bit then you will need a new turbo intake pipe, you could try glueing it :D

If you could determine the pin out of the connector, then you could apply 12V to the power terminals & it might fire up the mileage display.

Only difficulty is the multitude of hydraulic feed & return pipes, the pressure regulator is on the front of the engine sort of in the way of the gearbox, the hydraulic reservoir will be in the way, the clutch is a pull type clutch just to make it abit more tricky as you have to get the clutch...

The one meter of mine that does have a hold button has a Peak Hold, so if its pressed it will show say 110V, then if you go to a 230V supply it will jump upto that & hold that figure, good idea really.

Is it plugged in using the original wire/moulded plug? Sounds like the wire is too thin & is struggling to carry the nessisary current & dissipate the heat properly.
