Nope, I'm a very strict parent, my kids know the rules, are expected to obey the rules and know what will happen if they don't but I would never, under ANY circumstances hit them!

I don't think there's ever a good reason to hit anyone, let alone a child! Toffee I hope you manage to work out what is causing you little boy to act like this, it does sound a lot like how my little cousin used to go after eating anything with artificial colourings in.

In my household being a women, reading instructions, using logic, being rational, being able to make and fix things and reading directions properly. (one husband two young daughters enough said!) :wink:

Right well we had scary hideous banisters on our stairs which have now been ripped out. The problem I have is that the systems I've been looking at for replacing them mean replacing the newels which I'm not confident in tackling so I'm wondering what people would advise. Do I a) Attempt it...

*gets scared* OK well the tiles are the rectangular ones you get for borders which I know you can buy everywhere (without ugly burgundy flowers on them lol!) but I'm a bit concerned about trying this myself. Will have a rethink. Thanks for your help. :D

Are they any good? I'm decorating my first house and have got round to the bathroom and loo. They are both completely tiled with white tiles which is great, only there is a row of ugly burgundy flower tiles round the middle. Basically I want to cover them up somehow and have seen tile paint and...
