Mira spec for the pumped version is Max Maintained head 1 bar and max static head of 10 bar……..

Put a 1 bar prv on. I’m thinking there must be someway of reducing flow and pressure to a level that isn’t going to cause a major problem.

Think mine is circa 3bar but could easily choke it down

Thanks Madrab, your thinking what I am thinking. The reason I’m looking at this is firstly it’s for me so no client to worry about and secondly I can get a new pumped unit for £150 as opposed to £700 I must admit that when I’ve installed a pumped mixer to low pressure system I’ve always choked...

Guys, what would be the implications of using a Mira Platinum pumped digital shower on a high pressure system. Would it be ok to simply crank down the flow from the incoming hot and cold.

Don’t look any further than James Hardi cladding. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. if you can use a hammer and or a drill it’s a straight forward job.

Hi All, I have 150meters of pex left over from an underfloor heating installation. am I ok to use this left over pipe for the domestic hot and cold water supply at the same house. are there any issues I should be aware of? thanks

Thanks Lost…..I guess there must be a lot of guys that use them. I’m sort of thinking that if they didn’t work to well they wouldn’t have an ongoing market for them. @ £22 I think I’ll give them a go and report back

Hi Guys, am looking to buy a couple of new 5mh batteries and am tempted by something like the Waitely after market as a substitute for the real thing. can anyone recommend a good substitute battery or is it a matter of ‘you get what you pay for’ thanks for any input.

Thanks guys. What I couldn’t grasp was that by pressuring up to 6bar that pressure expands the pipe…..It must only expand by a fraction of a millimetre but apparently that is what is required before the screed is applied. So I will do as it says

Hi Guys, just about to apply a flow screed directly on top of the UFH pipe work and cannot understand why the system needs to be over pressurised before the screed is layers Any ideas why this is necessary ?? Cheers

Thanks Conny, I’m looking at 300m2 so not massive. What you have posted gives me what I was after which was some confirmation that the cut that is left will eventually be even.

The technical stuff I’m ok with. What I am trying to understand is what the finished cut is like. Is it just as if you’d gone over it with a rotary mower or does the lawn have a sort of robot mower finish.
