Hi Guys........any suggestions for a coating to be applied onto an old quarry tiled floor to add some damp protection. Owners do not wish to go to expense of full floor lift so they know whatever compromise is adopted it will come with a health warning. Slurry or bitumen maybe ???

Thanks for your comment but why? Why would it not work ? Tarmac planings have been used for years as a substitute for hardcore

And another thought for you to ponder....no text book would suggest laying a tarmac drive as a base for pavers but it don't mean it doesn't do the job

Tarmac drive is on its way out. Would it work to lay block pavers on top of sand screed on top of the old tarmac assuming new edgings are laid on sand/cement in the normal way?? I can't think of any obviouse problem but maybe there is. There is a slight fall on the drive. Any thoughts would...
