Firstly, what type of boiler is attached to the copper pipe? This would determine the size of the copper pipe. Usually if the hot supply is in 22mm this denotes that it is a gravity system boiler. There is a recommended gap for clips to run horizontal and different to vertical if you want to...

Depending on make of DV they sometimes stick or jam, you have positioned it to the mid position. This is used for flushing the system and would suggest you get an RGI to check that it just stuck or has failed. The Mid position is only to be used as a temporary measure fella...

Why wait weeks to address the problem? If there was a gas pressure supply problem, why didn't the RGI who corrected this address the boiler? i.e. gas rate the appliance to make sure that the gas rate was correct for that model? Or, the person who "corrected," the gas supply wasn't an RGI...

Most manufacturers are bringing out wireless RF units that "Modulate," the boiler as oppose to a simple on off setup. Financially and technically it isn't in their interest to make a generic version that fits all :roll: Like your car, some tech and gadgets are specific to the individual car...

Simple job, get a recommended RGI to safely replace the DHW flow switch fella.... Sooner rather than later as well :wink:

Make sure you copper tail the rad's fella, people love to bash their vacuum cleaners against the rad pipes :wink: Defo, get advice from an RGI first, he might advise you what route etc. Don't even think of laying a plastic pipe for the gas :twisted: :evil:

The venturi's melt when there is less than 1.0 bar cold pressure in the system. Often if the system is just say on 0.5 bar or just below that there is just enough water pressure to start the boiler, BUT, the excess heat created in the chamber goes through the fan and melts the venturi fella...

Most people get advise before they modify a gas appliance :roll: What you have done is illegal and dangerous fella. If you attempt to light the fire or even re-instate the gas supply it would be deemed to be illegal and very dangerous to you and your family. You can't disassemble gas fires...
