What products for fixing split in lead flashing and for join to parapet coping stone

Yes, but I was planning a similar approach - scrape out a bit of the chasing and put in a piece of lead, pressed down to shape, and re-seal the chasing. But will be trickier as it's going round the edge of the wall to some extent. Any advice on this area also much appreciated!

Roger that. Makes sense. I'm probably going to use Code 3 - bit cheaper than the Code 4. Shame I'm only going to use a small part of the roll.

Sure - here's a wider pic, with the splits and the sealing crack circled. The flashing's a pretty long piece so removing it could turn into a pretty big job for me. Thanks in advance!

OK, interesting. Thank you. So I should get myself some lead flashing and make a little groove with an angle grinder a bit above the existing split, or maybe just try and squeeze the new flashing in to the existing groove. What should I secure the new flashing with? Something like this...

What products for fixing split in lead flashing and for join to parapet coping stone

Hi Poking around on my flat roof and I see a couple of splits in the lead flashing that joins our flat roof to our neighbour's wall. Would be grateful for a recommendation of what product to patch this crack over with. I'm thinking some sort of sealant product but not sure. I've attached a...

What product to patch exterior lath and plaster soffit?

Hi A 20cm x 10cm patch of plaster soffit has come away from the wooden lath in my roof. I'd like to patch it up and would be grateful for recommendations of a quality product to use and ideally fairly idiot-proof. I've attached a picture of what I'm dealing with in case helpful. Probably...

    bathroom wall prep for re-paint

Hi I'm going to be refreshing the white paint in our bathroom. When I look side-on at the paint with light coming through the window there are shiny spots. Not sure what has caused these but am worried they will mess up the new paint. The attached picture gives an idea of the effect. It's...

plastering external 'wet' wall - porous render?

Hi I'm a DIY'er looking for advice on rendering an external patio retaining wall (see picture). I have come from Painting and Decorating forum where the advice was to avoid paint due to minerals coming out of the concrete because the hidden side of the wall will be 'wet', and use a porous...

painting concrete patio wall - seal and prime or just paint?

OK. not quite what I was expecting but if paint is not the right product for the job... really appreciate your advice. What sort of product would I be looking at for a porous render? Depending on how thick it goes on I would need to figure out something for the overhang from the patio tiles...

painting concrete patio wall - seal and prime or just paint?

Hi @JohnD Thanks very much for your reply. Yes - it's external - hopefully the picture gives an idea. It's a patio retaining wall, and I have to say that we do have some cracks in the patio mortar between the pavers so there might be some moisture down behind the hidden side of the retaining...
