    ones with battery backup will beep with mains power loss ... so that will notify the person the mcb is off if u put them on a lighting circuit they must have battery backup anyway so .. might aswell put them on seperate circuit

    perhaps it sets a fault and clear it to see if TD RCD trips ... waits 30secs for RCD to clear the fault then runs the test .... just a guess

    there are supposedly places u can dispose of free of charge ... as the supplier has paid the charge dunno these places though so im not much help to you ... reco light springs to mind

    wholesalers can pay 'a company' a fee to remove their responsibility to dispose of them ... thats what the extra charge is for on the lamp i think

    Put in any time clock which is capable of switching the load or a time clock controlling a contactor capcable of the load of the heaters Sangamo timeclocks are big but should do the job (didnt read main post so might not be any use.... quite a long one and im lazy :P )

    We've had ours for a few years ... only use it sensible as i said, on material we know it works ok on (not engineering brick) No idea how long the armeg ones last because its different design obviously depends how much u use it over the years

    Maybe elec board should fit isolators as standard so people dont need to pull the fuse ... when they/you come round to check meter its usually not planed ( customer dont know they are coming) so as long as the meter and stuff doesnt look like its been played with then whats the problem ...
