    Neighbours

be sure that the fuseboard cover is on when u are trying to determine whether the switch is "off or On" some switches (ie wylex old boards) have a sliding labe; which if the switch it 'pointing to off' with the cover off the board, it is 'on' as the slider label would display the word 'on'...

    Max Disconnection times

NICEIC forms have Max Disconnect Time on, aswell as max Zs for disconnection in that time .... im just trying to get the max times sorted so basically its either 5 secs or 0.4 secs in houses, whether its protected by RCD or not ive been writing 0.04 for a while, because i had it in my...

    Testing BS4293 S type RCD's

the factor of 3 ... is that why we use 100mA time delayed on TT ? something strange we found recently .. Contactum dont make time delay RCDs :? is time delay a requirement on TT or is it just better practice to have one? ... to prevent lighting circuits going down (this would be a hazard...

    Multi-function Tester Question/Advice

This should probably be in another place on forum, but wanted response from electricians... sorry At work we have a Megger/AVO CM500 , which is pretty good tester in my opinion. It tests earth loop with just two probes (no neutral needed) ...only prob is we need another tester and the CM500...
