    Its the 30mA RCD control which unfortunately is the main incomer on the consumer unit. Can you suggest any other way of testing it. I`ve tested the new heater and it seems to be ok.

    Have fitted new heater and it still trips out at exactly the same time on any hot wash cycle. Could it be that it is sited in the garage ( has been since last April ) but could the cold be anything to do with it ?

    Is this the type S you are referring to www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/BH80slash2slash100.html What do refer to as HIGH earth fault loop. If I have the correct earth loop impedence can I still not use a standard douple pole main switch,does it definately have to be rcd.
