    Motorised Valves - High Temperature?

Why bother posting? The reason for updating my posts is to help others that may have similar questions, if you're so clever why didn't you advise to have a look at the other motorised valve. At least if someone else has a similar problem, they won't have to post a question and put up with...

    Motorised Valves - High Temperature?

Just to let you know that I stuck with the SZ2301 in the end! After looking at the other motorised valve (ACL Drayton) in the airing cupboard, I noticed that it also stated that the ambient temperature must not exceed 52 degrees C. On that basis, I fitted the SZ2301 with a bit more confidence!

Are my motorised valves spring returns?

For the record, both of my motorised valves are spring return.

    Digital Thermostat - Heatmiser?

Well I decided to go for the Heatmiser PRT in the end. All installed and working - took me about 5 minutes to work out the wiring and made a quick call to Heatmiser technical support to check I was correct before I started. It only took about 30 minutes to fit from start to finish -...

    Kitchen Sink Leaking

Thanks Bahco. I bought a couple of wastes from B&Q for £5 each. Really good value for money and so much better than what was originally installed. Although they are only white plastic, they look like enamel. I took your advice and didn't bother with the silicone. Both waste outlets are...

    Pump Stays On!

I promised to post how I got on... Having replaced my Sunvic SZ2301F actuator with a Sunvic SZ2301 actuator, everything is now working as it should do! See my other thread about the difference between the 2 actuators! SF2301/F I can't believe how accurate Dave (gas4you) was with his...

    Motorised Valves - High Temperature?

The chap at the plumbing merchants gave me absolutely no confidence as he was obviously not a plumber and was simply helping out on the front desk and therefore just passing on information. I posted on here in the hope that someone who actually fits these things would have an opinion. Anyone?

    Motorised Valves - High Temperature?

Thanks for your comments John. I'm very much an amateur with this sort of thing, and just want to be sure!

    Motorised Valves - High Temperature?

The highest I've recorded in the last couple of hours is 32 degrees C. The heating and hot water have not been on much today though, so I'll keep on eye on it tonight. I'm guessing that the maximum it will reach will be 40 degrees C, but if that is the case why was the high temperature...

    Motorised Valves - High Temperature?

I should have mentioned that the installation notes state that the ambient temperature of the SZ2301 must not exceed 52 degrees C.

    Motorised Valves - High Temperature?

I ordered a replacement Sunvic SZ2301F actuator from my local plumbers merchants and when I came to collect it, I was supplied with a Sunvic SZ2301. Apparently the 'F' signifies that it is suitable for high temperature applications. When I queried this, I was told that they had requested a...

    Dripping Lever Mixer Taps

Had exactly the same problem yesterday! You need to flush it out for a minutes or 2 - on both hot and cold. Mine was caused by an airlock and as soon as I flushed it through, it was fine. It was a Tapmate too. Good luck.

Are my motorised valves spring returns?

Will the fact that I have a Drayton RTS1 installed already give a clue. ie Would an RTS1 be able to control a system where valves that require power to open and power to close were installed?

Are my motorised valves spring returns?

Hi, The Sunvic motorised valve is model is SZ2301F. It is installed on a horizontal pipe at the bottom of the Megaflow cylinder. I assume this is for the hot water? The ACL-Drayton motorised valve is model is 779H335-30L10. It is installed on a vertical pipe on the wall of the airing...

Are my motorised valves spring returns?

Hi, I'm in the process of buying a Heatmiser PRT digital programmable thermostat. I have 2 choices available to me, a standard terminal or a changeover terminal. I have absolutely no idea what a changeover terminal is, although I understand that if I have a valve that needs power to open...
