    Check the filter in the return pipe in the boiler. These can become blocked. Its actually in the boiler in the plastic housing.

    You need to check whether theres water in the system. Check F&E cistern in loft or repressurize if sealed system.

    It might still drip cos its got lots of water in the bottom of the case. Get someone in to look at it. Or could also be that the condense trap/pipe is blocked as well causing the F1 faults and leakage.

    Do you mean Cxi or Hxi? If so its probably the condense seal at the bottom front of the heat exchanger. You need to get an RGI in to give a it a look.

    What about 'maybe there was nothing wrong with the 1st one' and the fault lies somewhere else. Can you use a multimeter?

    If the house is of Victorian/Edwardian build the stopcocks where very often put under the floor by the front door. If its 'legal'. Its his house, his stopcock, his problem.
