Gas appliances that actually need servicing.

So what you're saying then is that I'm right. Cheers

Gas appliances that actually need servicing.

The Gas regulations are law. If they stated 'when or if' you got your gas appliance serviced then you would HAVE to.

Can somebody explain this to me - not seen it before...

Its just a twin entry valve, very popular in the 70's and still available. Or were you talking about the disgusting wood cladding next to it

Gas appliances that actually need servicing.

Not true. That would mean half the population is breaking the law.

Ferroli 77FF: Over-pressurised, tepid DHW now will not start

This is a positive pressure boiler so don't mess with any combustion case seals please. Not bad boilers these, still see a few a round and for a 17/18 yr old combi still reliable.. Are you sure thats the pump you heard or the fan? Have you checked the pump, sounds like it might have seized...

    Potterton Puma 80 Pilot Light

Thermocouple burnt out, overheat stat knacked or gas valve not holding. Get yourself a gas installer.

    Powermax 155 Blending Valve

Remove the existing valve and on the hot water outlet from the cylinder to the top of the blending valve is a small mesh filter. These have a tendency to scale up causing limited flow through the valve leading to poor hot water. Try that and save youself some money

HOW DO I FIT A WIRELESS THERMOSTAT TO A WORCESTER 24I BOILER

    Alpha 240p pilot outage

Still pointing to a restriction/blockage in the ch sytem and still likely to be the return filter. The ch or primary sensor operates for both ch and hw so unlikely to be that as combi boilers are more likely to overheat on hot water rather than ch and it works on hw.

    Sunvic Synchron motor SM5203

Easier to change the whole actuator. You can get those from B&Q.

    Alpha 240p pilot outage

Check that the filter in the return valve (under the boiler) is not blocked. This would cause very poor ch and overheating (pilot outage) as a result.

    pressure relief pipe

Because it could be discharging boiling water and/or steam. Waste pipe is not designed for that and also for the safety implications of pressurised steam entering your property.

    potterton puma 80

Its probably overheating, probably scaled heat exchanger. You could spend money on it but its not really worth it.

    hot water flow too low

Hot water flow limiter is probably playing up. Reduces water wastage while the hot water heats up so water only trickles out

    Worcester Greenstar 29HE

In section '3.2 System' it clearly states that an automatic bypass is required if the controls i.e 2 port valves can result in the closure of the ch and hw circuits when the boiler is hot. Hence the pump overrun.

BAXI BOILER PROBLEM - NO HEATING

A lot of faults with this boiler, get yourself a gas engineer and leave it alone.

    Worcester Greenstar 29HE

Greenstar 29 HE 41-311-56 'a bypass is generally unnecessary on a sytem using a 3 way div valve as one port will be open to flow at all times. This wil be satisfactory for the PUMP OVERRUN REQUIREMENT'.
  19. N

    Worcester Greenstar 29HE

Should have a pump overrun and bypass, hence the boiling. If it didn't have scale before, it has now

    Ideal Isar HE 30

The display unit is plugged directly in the pcb, so I'd check there.
