Connecting two plinth heaters to an existing radiator TRV

Get rid of the trv all togrther. But do use a lockshield on each plynth heater as a balancing valve. Though you could swap the trv head with a actuator controlled by a room stat in the kitchen. That way if the kitchen gets to warm, whilst cooking for example, the plynty heaters will shut...

    glowworm flexicom

How on earth someone can class themselves as a heating enginer but can't sort out a simple y plan is beyond me. Without poking around the wiring its hard to say anything more than it's wired wrong. Could be as simple as the programmer has been bypassed so the cylinder stat is the only thing...

Vailant EcoTEC pro 28 - underfloor heating

Id like to bet the floor wont even be up to temperature before the existing room stat shuts the boiler down, never mind the room. Zone the ufh seperatley to the rads or don't bother putting in the pipes imho

    Covering Gas Pipes Internally

What reason did they give for not running the new pipe under the floor ?

    shower pump draining expansion pipe

The difference being your car radiator is a sealed system. Your vented hot water system requires the vent to be open to atmosphere. If the pump is drawing air in then its been plumbed wrong and sorting that out really should be your objective.

Heating controls for multiple heating sources

It's usually done with gravity open vent for the stove and a twin coil cylinder. The time/temperature controls for the boiler can then be set so that the boiler suppliments the stove rather than the other way around. A thermal store would be well worth considering. Alot depends on what the...

    Gravity to fully pumped

That diagram dosent help much, it's not specific to your installation as is. Could be the vent pipe isn't piped correctly but only 2 spotted it.

    Gravity to fully pumped

+1 denso13. But to try and get to the bottom of it ask each installer why a new pipe is or isn't needed. Last week I changed the inlaws 40 ish year old glowworm for a new vaillant. That was a similar arrangment with gravity Hw and pumped one pipe CH. Apart from removing the f+e pipework and...

:?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:  If SimonH2 or any other keen amatures want to disagree with me then that's fine, I've no problem with that. It does not make them right though. Interesting that you only listen to those who tell you what you want to hear...

    Sky from a central point.

I'm never said don't consider what might be used / needed in the future by any means, that's important, but you can't start with the cables blindly without any consideration as to what they are going to be connected to now either. Sky+ via 1 coax is actually easy btw, just not cost...

    Sky distribution

As far as TV points go your mostly there. Twin coax to each point, make sure it's a good grade cable. wf100 will suit most domestic arrangments. If you want 4 points with twin satellite you have 2 options. Either a multiswitch which will require 4 cables from the dish, or an octo LNB and...

    Sky from a central point.

Why are you intent on doing this backwards anyway ? Any good design considers what equipment is going to be used BEFORE selecting cables not after. How do you know that one or two points might need wf125. Perhaps an application you might want to use would require FTP cable when you have only...

    Atmos or Intergas

You were given good reason to go to an av installer and heating engineer. Unfortunately good reason is not what you seem to be looking for. I think that dan put it best with "you seem to think that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander"

    Atmos or Intergas

Ill ask the same question here as I did in your av thread. Why come on a forum like this asking for advice, only to reject it because you think you know better ? Then why insult the very people who have kindly given you the benefit of their years of experience ? I can design a low loss...

Your average electrician will make a mess. And if they knew what they were doing they woukd be able to tell answer all your questions without hesitation. I wouldnt intrduce baluns for the sake of it as already said. Slightly o/t but why ask for advice then utterly reject half of it because...
