Does This Price Sound Okay (Combi Boiler Replacement)?

So I can charge say £100 an hour for a commercial customer and that's ok, but then I can only charge say £20.00 an hour for a domestic customer ? Surely my time is worth what my time is worth regardless of the customer ? How is moving a radiator piped in 15mm copper 1m to the left any...

Does This Price Sound Okay (Combi Boiler Replacement)?

Does This Price Sound Okay (Combi Boiler Replacement)?

Why on earth should you charge more per hour for a commercial customer than a domestic ? By that argument you should ask each customer for their last tax return/p60 before you invoice them so you know what to charge

Does This Price Sound Okay (Combi Boiler Replacement)?

Relevance means nothing to people desperatly trying to win a loosing argument. Being unafraid to answer your question Dan I work on a 50% margin. That's gross for those that understand the difference. As a one man band that made me a living so I've never seen a reason to change it. Most of...

New boiler quote :- Seem ok?

I'm not evading anything, as you still are. I do not and have not worked for BG. I do not live and have never lived anywhere with a PR post code, or anywhere that could possibly be construed as Preston. Where I live and have lived is irrelevant not evasive. You sound like some kind of...

New boiler quote :- Seem ok?

Where possible is the key, and in 99% of domestic properties it is possible, the maunfacturers have solutions for almost all installation issues now. Your post makes it sound like people have a choice in the matter, they don't. If it's possible you have to have one fitted, if it's not then you...

New boiler quote :- Seem ok?

Great advice. All new boilers fitted from 1st April 2005 have to be condensing boilers where it is possible to fit one. It's the law, not a choice. I've never yet found a house where one can't be fitted one way or another. The guy you used must have been a donkey to agree to sign off a...

    Hot water issues

But that's not efficiency. You can only measure efficiency against set parameters. The starting temperature has no effect on the efficiency of a boiler. It just takes more energy to increase 1l of water by 20oC than it does to raise the same 1l of water 10oC. simples Get It ?

Speedfit UFH pack connected to Combi

That's right, but you may or may not need the bypass. Check to see if the boiler already contains one, a quick call to the manufacturers will confirm.

    Hot water issues

You said exactly that ! The fact that the boiler uses more energy to heat the water due to the greater differential in water temps, that does not make it less efficient. Infact with a modern condensing boiler, it should be slightly more efficient in winter as the temp differential is greater...

    Hot water issues

That's a matter of opinion. You advised the OP that boilers are less efficient in winter, which is incorrect, and if you understood what you are advising on, you would know your statement is incorrect. How can giving advice on a subject you understand so little off be classed as anything other...
