    if hot water is from a tank then the answer is yes, however a system boiler would be the normal choice when water is tank fed.

    some showers need a pressure reducing valve fitted to the main if the pressure is over a certain level

    if no assumptions were made we would all be running around our installs forever more checking things to see if they are still ok, we have all seen 40 year old compression fittings that have never leaked.

    cut the 8mm with mini pipe cutters instead of a hacksaw and make sure theres no paint or other **** on the pipe, make sure the reducer is fully home onto the pipe, and then radge it up
