I've just replace 4 old imperial rads with 4 new metric ones The one in the hall was not a problem as the floor was up so I could cut n solder new pipes in. The other 3 were a bit tricky as 1. They had imperial lock Shields and valves, and 2 they don't make 950 mm rads, well not in screw...

So what type of inhibitors do you guys use and how much? And is it all the same stuff?

As the title says, does anyone test the central heating system water for is pH levels? Ive just tested mine and seems to indicate around the 7pH mark which is neutral, which is ok I presume as WB say below 8pH is fine. I used litmus paper and the colour chart supplied.. Is anyone else as anal...

I can only agree with Mr John H on this.. Gas safe don't mean ****!

Hmmm just had another look at it, removed the top and side covers, it looks like the fancy/designer front panel look is just metal cladding fitted over the radiator front... So no direct contact with the hot water.. No wonder it don't feel hot.. Seems hot from the backside... They never...

I have a double Panel radiator fitted in the hall, my problem is the front panel does not get that hot compared to the rear/wall side panel.. I have bleed the radiator and still the same? I was thinking of unscrewing the end cap opposite end from bleed valve a little to see if this helps, maybe...

It's true my install was done by a gas safe WB accredited professional installer.... 1st and 2nd time round.. Just to clarify when I said they put the WB filter on the wrong way round, I didn't mean that they put the bleed valve at the top... They put the return and feed in the wrong way...

Yep! they did and they knew what they did wrong, no quibbles,,,so why not do it in the 1st place?, just makes you wonder how many other sh!te, dangerous installs are out there?

Well they call the bleed valve the dosing point....I dont think its an actual bleed point being at the bottom?? Its still looks the same but the pipes are a lot straighter????? I wasnt really bothered about the looks, I was just worried about the peformance of it, now I have pipes taking up 2...

Can I get an inspector to look at my install??
