best way to find out is to remove the user panel by a small screw underneath and fire boiler.the heating should run at max if it does replace user panel because has faulty control.had this a few times due to people bleeding pump over the user pcb

simple way to try and locate the item causing it ceaser is simply disconnect each item in turn till fuse stops blowing lol.start at gas valve and work backwards .worst that happens u run out of fuses hope this makes it a bit more simple

but most boiler fans on dc so total different scenario

agree what you saying baxi but if follow tracks on pcb it is linked direct to mains incoming on pcb

ac or dc? sorry agile i agree no point blinding diyers with too much info they dont know what to do with.we just try and point them in right directions.most diy people have a ohms meter but not an insulation tester.and a ohms reading will tell you if there is a constant fault on the item...

but the fact that boiler trys to light points maybe to gas solaniod because would imagine pump is already running by the time it trys to spark

clock is not fed via pcb it is live even when selector switch is off.but there is a internal fuse before pcb and clock which sounds like it is gone

need to test the resistance of the pump between live and neutral pins and make sure there is a working reading 150 ohms+

if it trips the rcd and not the breaker is most likely earth leakage.most likely culprit will be pump insulation breaking down when hot.very hard to test without special equipment get a sparky in

check the connections on the coil this is under pressure from the boiler and hence if had a drip would depressurise the boiler

daft question but boiler stat is turned up yes

if clock is internal and not working there is no mains to the boiler

usualy means pipes on droppers from above ie water cant travel uphill

err its called having a s plan

or u can disable it !! pretty much a waste of time realy. on the new model u can disable it from a switch
