    never use WD40, only silicone spray as mentioned. ceramic disc type taps do not need any lubrication. You will just have to use it to wear it in.

    I am doing some work on my central heating system and got hold of a radiator thermostats. I read that the temperature in is 80ºC and out 60ºC (max full bore) does this sound correct? cheers i guess that if the CH primaries are 90ºC it could be right!

    yes but isnt it the room stat that detects enough heat? or is the device the motorised valve that phyically shuts down the primaries? They both control the operation, one electrically and one physically!!
