    The crumbustion chamber?

Were talking about after you've qualified. How many professions have to pay £1000 every 5 years to prove you know what your doing? Not many. Half the people attending university nowadays aren't educated, a monkey can get into university now. I know a hell of a lot of people who got C's D's...

    The crumbustion chamber?

You've got to love people will attitudes like these! What do you do for a living then? Brain surgeon? Rocket scientist? Gas fitters have nothing to gain from extra bureaucracy as it's extra cost for the business. Do you think we enjoy playing hundreds of pounds a year for registration...

    The crumbustion chamber?

Did you actually read what i said? Gas explosions don't just effect the house where it's occurred, it can potentially take out a few houses. Faulty wiring is very unlikely to take out both of your neighbours' houses. That's where the difference is. People can do there own gas if they choose...

    The crumbustion chamber?

The problem with gas it that it's not just you and your family that's at risk when things go wrong. A gas explosion can and sometimes does take out your neighbours properties as well. Some people get a bit keen with d.i.y and think they can tackle anything. Problem is though they don't have a...

    British Gas water pipe cover

I don't understand why people pay out all this money for insurance cover. The top cover is £27 a month which is over £300 a year. If you've got a relatively new boiler & heating system that's been installed to a good standard it should be at least 5/6 years before anything goes wrong. Even then...

Help with Radiator change to smaller size

Those floor boards will be relatively easy to get up, so long as you've got a circular saw. If you have just cut the boards at the joists. Cut a little bit at a time until you've cut deep enough. Then prise them up with a hammer and chisel. It won't make a mess of the boards, it's standard...

Rang technical today and they said they'd replace it for free even though it's out of warranty. Not a bad result!

    FP715 Danfoss programmer problem

Yep, the connections on the backplate are live. Got a 3 amp fuse in the fused spur. There isn't a problem with that since the boiler is working fine. Its a combi so hot water is working fine, customer is just without heating. Guess i'll just have to replace!

    FP715 Danfoss programmer problem

It's the si version. Nope, nothing at all, no response whatsoever and the red light isn't on either. I removed it and replaced it numerous times to make sure the contacts were correct. Bit baffled really, done a bit of googling and it seems as though this happens quite frequently with this...

    FP715 Danfoss programmer problem

This is my first post having been lurking around for a while! Anyway, for some reason a danfoss programmer just doesn't want to work. Was adding some radiators to a system so turned off the boiler e.t.c at the fused spur. Turned the fused spur back on when i'd finished the job, only to notice...
