    Check valves

It is nessasary to have check valves installed on the shower inlets, since the shower head is not fixed and can draw waste water back into the hose when detached. Alternatively, you may be able to just have a check valve fitted on the hose connection to the bar, which hopefully will be...

Loss of pressure in Combi boiler

Sounds like the expansion vessel needs refilling / replacing IMO, but there might be some additional issues, which the boiler engineer will look into. Not sure about the cost, but others can advise.

Boiler make and model please. I assume you are noticing a full pressure drop on the pressure gauge on the front panel, not just a loss of half a bar?

Alot of people tend to go for the towel rail, due to the function that it provides. So you can heat the room before a shower and have a nice warm towel after you get out.

    HETAS am I liable?

So, you went to the trouble of getting a registered installer round to carry out the work correctly, then decided to carry out the rest of the work yourself? Unfortunately the flue is now your problem, unless you can get him back to rectify? When you contacted the installer, did he offer...

    Pump buzzing and hot

Not a problem. Just letting you know what it is so you can research it correctly. How to change this?

If you have the ability to hydrostatically test, I would always do that in place of a pneumatic test.

    How to change this?

Firstly, take the fascia plate off. You will be able to see if there are any more retaining grub screws. The cartridge should just pull out, it is held in place by a series of rubber o-rings along the shaft.

Baxi Duotech boiler pressure getting too high

PRV is a pressure relief valve, stopping your central heating sealed system from becoming dangerously over pressurised and potentially causing you and your family a load of heart ache. When the pressure get's to a certain level, they are designed to lift and let the excess pressure out of the...

Baxi Duotech boiler pressure getting too high

Well, the pressure dropping completely may be due to the PRV not seating back down after it has blown. I assume you have noticed the PRV has lifted? Any fault codes noticed? Have you diconnected your filling from the double check valve, to make sure it isn't passing? It could be a mixture...
