    No boiler bypass needed?

    You need the bypass if all the trvs shut down and the pump and boiler doesn't, the heats got to go somewhere. Would fairly easy to do according to your diagram.

    If your have no thermostat, the nest requires 12v to charge the internal battery. The nest uses the old wiring to charge the battery, so you need to plug it into a power outlet with the supplied power adaptor.

    That whole blue thing on the left is the inlet valve, your possibly looking at toilet out to check/replace.

    I used to use ptfe on joints that didn't seal. Not anymore, I found that the olive would just crush/cut through it. Now I use jointing paste on all compression fittings, now I never get leaks, ever.

    That boss has been stuck on with silicone??? I would imagine it would come off fairly easy. Then put a proper strap on..on and glue with solvent weld glue.

    Well... You could ether cut the pipe right down and solder an extra piece of pipe on (which is what he should of done) .or lower the rad!

    Oh dear lord, why would you let someone work in your house that didn't know what he was doing? It's normal practice to carefully cut the olive off with a hack saw and replace. It could be fine, you could have problem, who knows. I wouldn't be happy with that tho.

    A couple of times I've fitted them to quickly fit an ISO valve, after a couple of turns, water was spraying out the hole in the middle. :roll: Never again.

    Aqualisa installation instructions are a little vague. All they say is that other outlets must not be affected!

    Oh.... I thought you had it apart.. You have to take the cistern off the toliet, undo the big nut that holds the flush valve on, at this point I would replace the flush valve. Use clear silcone when reassembling.

    If you have a 10mm cable you could upgrade the mcb.
