Spoke to Yale this morning, and they said its fine to put PIR in your path to control box, as long as an ENTRY point has been activated, as all sensors set to burgler, go on standby until code is punched in. Also PIR should not flash LED except on set up ie learning in etc.

Thanks, if course now I understand about the PIR picking up movement as the door is opened, and both sending alarm signals to alarm which of course could jam, by the way the only time I have seen a red light flash in the PIR is when I've learnt it in by pressing the button on PIR, I know about...

Ummmmm, maybe I'll put it in the conservatory instead, as it's going to give someone 20 or 30 seconds to do something with control box, I already have a contact on doors in conservatory, but I gather you cannot point PIR towards contacts, why is this. Also somewhere in this forum, I saw...

I'm wondering if the back up battery in control panel could be damaged, as it was set to on position when I took rubber grommet off

Hi, just moved house, and in the middle of putting up a new alarm, same as I had before Yale 6400, however the control panel light only comes on when you press a button, and goes out after a few seconds or so, unlike my previous system which was exactly the same and stayed on permenantly as it...

    Baxi duo tec 40

Are yes see what you mean, just been to look at it, re pressurised via turning the two round taps each side of the copper pipe, and found leak ( just a few drops ) pressure went down really fast, so tightened one of two large silver wing nuts each side of pipe and stopped leak, the information I...

But to completely empty, as shown on clock, would that not be a substantial amount of water leakage, ie soaking wet carpet or something, that is if it was a rad.

The advice I had off yale, was that it was tamper switch on alarm box, as I thought that alarm box did not communicate with control panel as control box sounded as well, but it seems it does, so I repacked tamper, and all seems well so far, If I were you I would give yale a ring with your...

Blimey, more spanners thown in, yale said 99.9% that it was the tamper switch on alarm box, when I mounted box to wall, which is actually rough, I made sure it was secure and in contact with wall as flush as possable, and has remained that way for 10 months, ok so maybe it did work loose, but as...

    Yale 6400 help help

Hi, just been on to yale about my problem, they said they were 99.9% sure the fault would be in the tamper switch on alarm box, it would only need to move a fraction to activate, I said it was not a windy night and no fault showed up in log, they said that can happen, So going to repack alarm...

Thanks, It seems I have a number of options, however I think if a setting was wrong somewhere in the system, after it working fine for nearly ten months it would have shown by now as it was used on a reguler basis until just week or so ago where I haven't used it, I think I have no option but to...
