gas hob?if badly burning high levels of carbon monoxide would be present in the exaust outlet :wink: unlikely but possible as hobs have very high rates of carbon monoxide hence the various regs concerning roomsize :lol: :lol:
they are still availible in ireland,i fitted one on lpg earlier this year down south,out of all the classics i have fitted it is the only one to give bother :cry: [dirty gas]

you used to get those rads from vokera in enfield, kal rad was another brand name.yes they were made of aluminium max amount of sections was 23 left and right handed nipples sealed with some gasket.
corgiman you have no idea what these nvq trainees get,out of the ones i know of three have the unvented and energy eff,one has his ccn1 + four appliances one is doing his oftec.
yet not one of these people has fitted a boiler or unvented yet,as for the oftec all that lad has done is change...

your first job should be change the main stopvalve,the problem is the jumper inside is loose,as the water stops it is bouncing about.
the squeal will be the pressure increasing as the fliud master closes you could try a pressure reducing valve
