    Filtering out junk e-mail.

Just a quick one. When doing as Breezer says, be aware that if you remove the first part of an email and add it to your blocked list, ie: @yahoo.co.uk then ALL emails from that server will be blocked. I use this method myself to block emails, and it is quite effective, but you must...

    adding sockets

I was under the impression that a detached garage was not in a special location/installation, and as long as the work does not include outside work you do not need to notify Building control. If all your going to do is extend the circuit, then I don't see a problem. I believe it mentions this on...

If you can get a copy of Fujitsu Disk Manager you can use this to format/diag the drive. However, I think that Fujitsu no longer offer this download free, but you may be able to find some sites that still offer the download. Salem.

    neighbours roof...

Before any work starts I would take pictures of your roof and also get them to sign something to say that your roof is in good/bad condition. Once the work has started it will be your word against theirs, if any damage occurs. I agree with "masona" about getting a discount price for your...

    Insulation for loft conversion

What is it going to be used for? Not too sure on the calcs you require, but when we converted our loft we had to use 100mm of Celotex and the rafters had to be Strengthened. Converting a loft can be a very complex job for a DIYer, but not impossible. I would advise that you contact the...

    Insulation for bathroom roof

Yes, electrical cables. A chemical reaction can occur when in contact with Polystyrene, this can degrade the cables insulation. Salem.

    Insulation for bathroom roof

I wouldn't use Polystyrene as this can degrade cables. Use kingspan or Celotex panels. I believe you will need to leave an air space between the the felt and the insulation for ventilation of the roof space. Salem.

ADSL filters should be fitted on ALL phones/units that use the telephone sockets, including SKY TV (if connected) This is to filter out the high frequency ADSL signal from your normal voice phones, you have to plug a micro-filter into each phone socket. Salem.
