Its definetly a suction problem, and would of shown up before they left. If your paying good money i would expect them to reskim each wall effected, you could get away with patching but its not what you payed for. Like you say theres plenty of work for them to go at so sorting this out shouldnt...

It could be the lack of pva or key, its dried to quick and crazed. I wouldnt have him get the same plasterer back for a start. the fact you had to bring this to the builders attention and the plasterer didnt. Ive plastered walls in the past and sometimes this can happen especially if the sun is...

    Loft conversion/Cut Purlin

Its obvious from the pics that this is a bodge, it is possible the customer could of brought it on themselves, ie we will use it ocasionaly or for storage and we dont need to involve bco. mending a hole in an artexed ceiling

Patch like you say but imposible to patch up without noticeing, Patch up the joint with tape and fill, flatten it off and let it set then try and recreate the pattern. Ive seen a similar pattern made with a big sponge in a plastic bag scrunched up and just dab the artex.

Plaster boarding 200 year old solid external wall

you cant dab foilbacks i would also steer clear of dabbing it because the dabs will keep showing through when its cold outside, have a look at pages 17 to 20 on here this system is really easy. http://www.lafargeplasterboard.co.uk/Installation/IG_Handbook_lo_res.pdf

    Unibond Vs new plaster bard?

I would definetly go with over boarding its quicker and a lot less mess plus less chance of it cracking. It will take about 5/6 boards per room and stagger the joints over the original cracks, this will reduce cracking and also give you extra sound and fire protection.
