ECONOMY 7 HOT WATER NOT WORKING

Is there any chance it could just be the thermostat which is much easier to change than the element? Is the element likely to be a standard one that I could get from B&Q or are they all specific? I guess I have to drain the system to replace the element - is it an easy job?

    DIMPLEX STORAGE HEATER NOT WORKING

I have 3 Dimplex storage heaters using Economy 7. Two work fine but the third (Model XT12) doesn't heat up. Any ideas?

ECONOMY 7 HOT WATER NOT WORKING

Just electric in the house - no gas. I have 2 switches in the airing cupboard, one for the immersion heater to heat the hot water (which works fine), and the other one also to heat the hot water overnight using Economy 7 night rate. This one doesn't work - any ideas?

    MOST RADIATORS COLD

The instructions say 'where systems are badly fouled, a longer period of circulation (up to 4 weeks) is recommended.' It doesn't say that most of the radiators will go cold while it is working. If that's the case and slowly they will get hotter then fine - but is that so? Also if the radiators...

    MOST RADIATORS COLD

On Saturday I poured 2 litres of Sentinel X400 Sludge Remover into the system via a towel radiator, having drained off sufficient water from a drain tap downstairs. All was fine with 19 of the 20 radiators. One (where I had added the drain tap above) was cold - it has never heated up properly...

    Hot Grundfos pump?

Yes, the flow direction is the same on the new pump as it was on the old pump. The old pump was the 15-50 130 and was set to speed 3. The new pump is exactly the same size but is the 15-60 130, which means it is the higher rating (60,000 to 120,000 BTU as opposed to up to 60,000 BTU). I've...

    Hot Grundfos pump?

The new pump was the same make and model as the old one, so I guess the flow direction would have been the same.

    Hot Grundfos pump?

The pump is hotter than the radiators but about the same temperature as the pipes either side of it. It's a brand new Grundfos pump and I did rotate the shaft several times to ensure it was free.

    Hot Grundfos pump?

Thanks for that. What about the temperature of the pump itself. Is it supposed to be quite hot when the heating is on?

    Hot Grundfos pump?

I didn't have to drain the system to replace the pump as there were isolating valves just above and below the pump which I turned off before removing the old pump and on again after fitting the new one. I didn't think I should have to rebalance the radiators just changing the pump. There are 20...

    Hot Grundfos pump?

I've just replaced my pump with a GRUNDFOS Super Selectric UPS 15-60 130 pump which was quite an easy job done in half an hour. How hot is the pump supposed to get when the heating is on? It feels at least as hot as the radiators (which may be right as hot water is passing through it)? I...
