    its a carcass wardrobe in a frame/partition wall, i made the partition to give more depth and allow space on the external wall due to radiator

    This is my design for a wardrobe im constructing how's best to finish the front? i want the doors to be roughly flush with the wall and dont like the look of wood filling in to the rest of the wall. Any ideas?

    Partition Wall Fixings

    Hi, i'm building a partition wall / frame for a wardrobe, the frame will be made from 1 1/2" timber. Can anyone point me towards the best fixings to use for fixing to brick/block, floorboards and ceiling joists?

    skimming a ceiling

    If your going to do it in two halves, you can stagger your joints so its less visable. Sort of like /\/\/\/\/\ the eye cant follow a line like that as easy as a straight one.

    What should i use over brick/block?

    Yeah, gypsum plaster is used in this house. thanks for the help, would a sand/cement mix be suitable to cover the brick? Im pretty handy with a trowel, but might not bother with a finish coat if i can just put the frame straight over the top.[/img]
