They are not self adjusting cables they are self adjusting calipers

Because the lever was siezed but now you released it the spring has a job to do. And you cannot adjust the cable it is a set length there is a reset under the console not adjuster.

Yeah just had a look the Adblue system is after the DPF for cleaner emissions so the DPF still has to regen. Thank god i got a Hybrid.

If it's under warranty then it's a late vehicle so surely it would use the AdBlue system rather than extra diesel for a regen.
