    Rainwater entering via flue

Thanks all. Noticed the guttering is leaking a few inches away from the flue so that may be the cause, will try and get that sorted tomorrow and if it carries on happening once thats sorted, will call out the original installer.

    Rainwater entering via flue

Hi, We have an Ariston ACO combi and today when it's piddled it down, water is coming in through the flue. It's dripping out where the flue joins together with another piece on the horizontal part. Can't take a pic as camera battery is flat unfortunately but it's the standard flue, goes up...

    Wiresless stat with child lock?

Unfortunatly these "children" are over 30 so most of the suggestions don't work :(. Can't beleive there isn't a bigger demand for these. Easiest option here is probably to not pay the bill and let the gas get cut off :P

    Wiresless stat with child lock?

Any ideas if there are any wireless stats available like the Drayton Digistat 3 but with a child lock feature built in? Fed up of people putting the heating up to full all the time. Thanks in advance.

    Tonight programme on uninsured drivers

Given they use a private recovery company, you still have to pay the charge though even if you were in insured, normally £150 minimum. So then you have to fanny about writing to the police to get your money back.

vegetable oil fill up at tescooooooos

Could always only pay half the duty you should really pay and they will never know how much you should really have paid over but as you have paid some you should be in the clear, well unless they start investigating and follow you around for 6 months.

    Hotpoint WD63 won't drain.

Replaced the pump and it's now working fine, decided not to bother with killing the dryer in the end though. Maybe I can stop smelling now :D Cheers

    Hotpoint WD63 won't drain.

Slightly unusual question here, due to the amount of people in our house who insist on using the dryer function for hours for no reason, whats the easiest way to "break" the dryer fuction?

    Hotpoint WD63 won't drain.

Slightly delayed update, Finally got round to doing something about it, have taken the machine apart and checked the power connector, when the machine is set to the spin cycle, there is 240V on the pump connector so it looks like the pump has died, will order a new one and hopefully that will...

    Hotpoint WD63 won't drain.

Just a quick question, do these machines have a sensor to detect if they are full of water before allowing the (useless) tumble dryer part of it come on? At the moment, it won't do anything when the dryer option is selected, although putting it on a wash cycle seems to follow the general...

    Hotpoint WD63 won't drain.

Hi, Have got a Hotpoint WD63 that won't drain, although I'm fairly sure it isn't due to a blockage. I say that because two weeks ago I removed a sock, coint etc from the drain sump as it had been draining really slow - had to be put on spin about 10 times to get it to empty. Having had...
