air is getting in somewhere..either a leak where u cant tell and air getting in your system is wrong and the pump is pulling air in and finding itself in that radiator.

id say centre line of screw holes and how much play u have with them for movement of screwing to the floor inside the pan.

yup i do in lancs and most folk i know. I had a skip for earth a few weeks back when i was digging out for underfloor heating. Every 6inch load i put on got rollered down with a concrete roller :lol: I didnt overfill it but boy i bet it was heavy- proper compacted was that skip :o

yup it seems all different. some have caps, some dont. some say leave open some dont. Do what u feel :D If an exisiting istalation with no air probs i shut it,if new i leave it open to get rid of last bits of air.

If it pulls it pulls. If not your room will be full of smoke :lol: But id say your biggest problem is the temperatures as will be MUCH hotter. I think a standard flueliner is not capable of higher temps and could melt as such. As u can buy solid fuel liners and these are way expensive :shock:

Yup ive had a cistern with a hairline crack in. my head was done in! kept checking all the connections over and over. then finally saw a small bubble from the pottery. bingo!
