    siting a wireless digistat

Metal or electrical installations could affect reception but being that close to the receiver a wall, or two, won't bother it. It doesn't need line of sight; it's RF not IR!

    minimum pipe depth?

Ignorance woud be no excuse. If you had to do this then wouldn't you put protection over the area and identify that there were services under? (at least). By the sound of it you have done this and something has been damaged - I'd say that was at least largely your fault. All pipes should be...

    minimum pipe depth?

I'm not aware of a reg concerning this, possibly because no one would imagine that a floor board would be cut in this way! It would certainly be good practice to NOT notch a board You shouldn't have done it. He should have confirmed he was clear of hidden services. Where does that leave you?

    minimum pipe depth?

Don't cut the floor boards. Notch/drill the joists if you can do it iaw the guidance, or raise the floor? or run the pipes above floor? If you notch a joist it would be sensible to identify that there is a pipe or cable below the floorboard there...

    siting a wireless digistat

The installation instructions will tell you not to install the stat where it can be affected by a heat source. A room that is significantly warmed by the sun would come into this category, imo. You are best placed to decide the best location for it, and you know your man's advice isn't right...

Discharge pipes: Unvented water system (& central heatin

Thanks for pointing that out... :) I'm aware of what it says in G, but I'm not sure that when it comes to a matter of material properties that interpretation is appropriate! It's interesting that Terrain were happy to issue that considering that the temp rating for MuPVC pipe is 76...

    Radiator issue

By TVR I assume you mean TRV and you're not wondering why your car is affecting your heating. The TRV controls the radiator relative to the air temp around it according to where the TRV is set. It does not affect the touch temp of the rad, until it closes the rad off because room temp has...
