Power shower off cold water mains using a reducer

I assume by power shower you mean one with an internal pump? If this is the case it shouldn't be connected to the mains - with or without a pressure reducing valve (if this is what you mean by a 'reducer'?)

    Question about diverter valve

Turn the power off completely and then check the lever - resistance? Take a look at #17 in the FAQs. That should help more easily than us playing tennis in a thread! Good luck.

What position if necessary? Auto air vent on shower run.

It would appear to be a fairly quick fix. Make sure the cold feed to the pump is correctly (safely) located in the cold tank while you're at it.

What position if necessary? Auto air vent on shower run.

You'd be best off re-piping the pump correctly using a warix flange, for example, getting rid of the aav in the process. You could do this yourself if you're a bit handy. For the record the black screw should be loose on the aav.

    plumber competence reprised

Surely delays caused by bad/incorrect/otherwise unacceptable workmanship are the responsibility of the builder and tradesmen onsite and, therefore, any extra costs incurred by you (like additional rent) as a result should be laid at his/their door. You want, and need, the work completed...

Do I need a 2nd hot water tank to support 2nd power shower?

Depends what you consider expensive! It wouldn't be a problem to the existing shower and would ultimately be your best option. It might add 3/400 quid or so to your job...

    plumber competence reprised

Yes, beyond the tundish. Accepting an incorrectly installed D2 is not really an option. It doesn't comply. It is possible to use a hepvo waterless trap and polypropolene waste into the soil stack these days. Could this be an option for you?

    Toilet probelms
