    Thanks. I have taken half a brick under floor to run the mdpe pipe into the extension from existing property wall. I'm also going to run radiator and hot water pipes in this hole. Is there are certain gap I need between copper and mdpe to prevent any damage from radiated heat?

    Plasterboard on ceiling joists. Insulated with 200mm of loft mineral glass insulation. Void then rafters with breathable felt, battens and double pantile tiles. 2 velux windows too.

    Does a single storey extension require vented soffits if I'm going to have a lower flat ceiling and put wool on them joists? Roof has roman tiles and breathable felt.

    i know what i would do if i were to do it again. The cut should have been made a bout an inch below the corner and also 10 to 15mm from the corner. That would create a small channel directing the water away from the corner and towards the side.
