Had a google and most companies say they are not to be used for cladding but i will email the the Co i have seen and ask, maybe something to do with resistance to UV although it seems it is used a lot for bathroom walls, ceilings etc.

Will be fitting a deck mounted tap to the bath and wondered should i use a smidgeon of paste on the washer or a few turns of ptfe.
