Dam it! Thought that may increase the new ceiling height to one brick heigh,lintel exposed so slightly different ceilling height either side,not a issue..the timber wall plate will be sitting on block work either side for additional support...then bolted to the brick work...will just need to...

Thanks Tony for the reply,just to confirm I can fix my timber plate to external wall in line with internal joist then fit roof..this wouldnt be a problem when installing rsj,I have seen some photos online where builders have removed brick work way above the rsj which would effect my roof,sorry...

Would two engineering bricks be ok,then continue with block work around lintel,this would break the bond,but would give me the allowance,I have removed the two blocks either side of lintel before they set..

Morning all,lintel help please,have asked the question before,but tomorrow I will be installing lintel 'hopefully' I understand the lintel needs to sit on full blocks if possible to support the 3900 IG lintel (flat roof single single ext) From my photos the external block work would be sitting...
