    Radiator not centred between pipes

Maybe I should have Googled beforehand. Not chrome piping but "valve tails". And copper pipes are earthed (or is it "bonded"?) to metal radiators to prevent shocks. Would I need a "radiator union" or "compression valve tail"?

    Radiator not centred between pipes

Hi all, As the title says, here a radiator that was replaced but obviously it wasn't as wide as the last one and the plumber added what looks like a small piece of chrome pipe between the thermostatic valve and radiator, is that what it is? I want to centre it whilst I have it off for painting...

Would an expansion vessel help here?

I witnessed it today myself when he turned on the bath tap. The water wasn't in a hurry to come out and the same with the basin in the bathroom. I am going to check the stopcock tomorrow just to be sure it isn't almost closed and check the water pressure downstairs too. Just wanted to...

Would an expansion vessel help here?

Hey guys, Mate moving into a council house with awful water pressure upstairs thus ruling out any non-electrical meaningful shower. Would an expansion vessel help with the problem of low pressure? If so, is it a big job? I am assuming there's a water storage tank in the attic? I will...

Need a feed for outside tap?

One last idea (and probably better)......how about adding a compression Y connection to here (red arrow position)?

Need a feed for outside tap?

This may be a silly suggestion but is it practical to add a compression Y connection to the shutoff valve denoted by the red arrow then connect the plastic Y connector to one outlet and then connect a flexi to the other outlet where it would go on to fed the outside tap? Sounds daft even...

    Hotpoint WT960G Washing Machine Squeak

Just a we update on my issue: I've managed to resolve the issue myself. The squeak was being caused by the belt rubbing against the back panel intermittently. This was due to the belt being installed on the motor cog grooves too far rearward which caused it to rub against the back panel...

    Hotpoint WT960G Washing Machine Squeak

I've narrowed it down to where the noise is coming from now... http://v9.tinypic.com/player.swf?file=1568hlh&s=9" It's coming from the back of the drum and I can only make it happen if the machine is running. If I power it off and shake the brick it doesn't occur. Is there a shaft that runs...

    Hotpoint WT960G Washing Machine Squeak

Hey guys, Machine just had new bearings and shocks fitted and it now makes this squeaking noise as it goes into and out of a spin. (The engineer replaced the shocks thinking this was what was causing the squeak.) It seems to be intermittent with no consistency to it. I believed it to a...
