    Axminster have never let me down usually my first choice. D&M (twickenham) i drop into if im working near by. Screwfix delivery i rate 9-10 just need to be aware that they stock a mix a good and poor quality products.

    Garage doors

    Cheap g.r.p doors are flimsy and will not give you value for money!! Good quality reinorced g.r.p doors are strong and the best to look at but are expensive. Steel plastisol coated are a happy medium specify retractable mechanism rather than canopy if your garage allows for it.

    you could fix a timber lining to the ceiling first maybe 4x1 par, hopefully you can catch the joists with some decent screws, mitre it in nicely and paint it the same colour as the ceiling might be an option.

    Thx for the reply's i think i will go for a 4" type 1 base with a 2" surface dressing of 20mm gravel hopefully kept about 25mm down from the edge of the block paving.
