    Bonding over a skimmed wall

I've just been reading up on Thistle Bond-it Plaster Bonding Agent and some one said to just mix some sand into the PVA and brush that on the skim to give it a key as it does the same thing. What do you think or does Thistle Bond-it dry into the wall differently?

    Bonding over a skimmed wall

Thank you for answering my questions and the advice. I will have a very good think about what you have both said before making a decision. If I do go ahead and use bonding will I need to PVA the wall first or can I just wet it down and bond over., what is best? Thanks

    100mA RCD tripping problem

Just an update, on things this way. I am in the process of elimination by unplugging an appliance one at a time every time it’s not in use, to see what one is causing the tripping. But this method is very slow. I will ask more questions and keep you up to date as I go along. Thanks

    100mA RCD tripping problem

Could some one please explain how my CU is wired/feed so I can understand better? I think the main power comes into the 100mA RCD and then feeds the 30mA rcd. Where can I buy some wylex NSB TYPE B RCBOs? I have looked and can't fine any. Do I keep the 100mA RCD and just change the 4 MCBs...

    100mA RCD tripping problem

The CU is a Wylex and the RCD is an Wylex 80A 100mA WRM80/2. I have done a search for a equivalent timed delay and cannot find one. How would this solve my problem? I don't have the 30mA RCD trip at all. Can you suggest anywhere that I can buy one?

    100mA RCD tripping problem

An electrician came in a few months ago and installed a new CU. He has passed all the electrics and supplied the paperwork for this. I’ve had lots of tripping on the 100mA RCD side but no tripping on the 30mA RCD side. The system is TT. Once ever 3 days and on the odd action once a week, there’s...

Joining two timbers together, what size coach screw to use

I will put new floor in on top of the old joists to tie them all together without trying to take the sage out and put a false ceiling in below and save all the mess. There is only going to be light stuff stored up there. Also put some binders in. Thanks all for your advice and help.

Joining two timbers together, what size coach screw to use

The purlin that I'm going to fix the straps to runs across the apex in the roof at the front on my house and this is where I want to strap the joists to. There are no roof timbers resting on this part of the purlin because the apex is above it. Do you think this will be ok? Thanks

    I’m a bit confused about part p

I've done some continuity tests with the meters. The mains gas supply and the mains waters supply has both been bonded back to the CU. I took out all the old rapped around earth wire as it was not doing anything. The bathroom is directly above the CU and mains water supply. I did the tests from...
