    copper or plastic

Plastic wouldn't look half as bad if the fittings were not the same size as your average tin of coke.

    B&Q decking

At full price I wouldn't bother with B&Q's decking boards, I think I got mine for about 90p each last year when they were offering a massive discount. The quality is fairly good, however I did pick the best ones on the pallet, 25% of them were junk.

I solved this problem another way, I bought a fence to confine her to the concrete/decking and patios. Lawn now looks great, also all of my plants now have heads on them, lol.

    Kitchen Isolators

I suspect the spark quoting will be fitting a new radial/ring for the kitchen, surely flicking the circuit breaker in a fusebox would satisfy the regs by being "easily accesible" I would take Ban-all-sheds unprofessional advice with a pinch of salt, you can imagine what his kitchen is like...

    Brown Stands Down

Aye, last time I checked the Queen was still Commander-in-chief of the armed forces! I dont see where the whole tories are toffs argument comes from, pretty much EVERY MP will have been educated at a university of good standing, quite honestly I couldn't give a f*** who runs the country so...

    Brown Stands Down

Only two kinds of people vote labour 1. The workshy and people claiming "asylum" 2. Ex miners and all families associated with, because it was perfectly viable to hold the country to ransom over pay when the product could be extracted cheaper elsewhere

    New Plaster Efflorescence

Thanks for the reply, I shall answer all your questions. Is it dry apart from the salts - any dark patches? - Yes, the wall is dry. Are the patches high up on the wall? - Nope Are they higher than 1m up the angle beads? - Yeah, floor to ceiling pretty much. Does the floor have a...

    New Plaster Efflorescence

Recently had a single skin wall built to replace an existing single skin externall wall that was spalling badly, only small, probably about 2 meters wide with a door in it. Engineering commons were used for the wall, the internal wall was rendered with sand/cement, about a 3/4 days later the...

    Welding...

I can totally relate to the burning fleece comment  Mig welding is easy for an amateur, however getting a nice looking weld takes practice, so long as you get good pentration it doesnt matter.

    Court fees - why?

I once went down the empty lane hoping to push in towards the front of the queue, imagine my delight when I got to the front only to find there wasn't actually any traffic merging taking place, just a massive tailback because someone hadn't bothered to change the signs, lol.

    Floor socket

To be fair, you would be mopping the floor down not blasting it out like the floor of an abattoir. I guess forgetting to unplug the really obvious cable in the floor and closing the lid would be an easy mistake to make
