Pretty spot on. Its a kitchen work surface, just below a window, with just enough room for a double socket, which was fitted without taking space into consideration. Its an ideal place to have the radio.

Is it possible to buy a 240v 13a 3 pin plug which is wired from the top?

It struck me whilst I was away recently, if I put a timer on the pump I would still have to go into the loft to manually turn pump off while on holiday. But for a few quid more I could, or could I?, use a wifi plug. Would this still be safe?

Thanks for the advice. I didn't realise I could run the pump off a 240v 3 pin plug, is that safe as it seems the easiest method?

The main aim though would be to have silence at night from the pump. I think a pipe stat would cut in and out during the night

What is the cheapest and simplest way to add a timer to my hot water circulating bronze pump. It is situated in the loft as part of my unvented cylinder and during the night the hum gets very irritating. Thanks

This is a slightly different problem, I think, than has been on here. Having 3 new doors fitted upstairs, they are moulded doors with 6 panels. On 2 of the bedrooms there is a gap of about 2.5 inches, there are no carpets fitted yet. The carpenter tells me that he will add a piece to the bottom...

Thanks Al, I have removed the valve from the cistern no problem. Its just working out how to remove the seal/washer from the valve.

Hi, I have a slight leak draining down into the pan. I phoned TD and they sent me a new seal for the bottom of the valve. Does anyone know how to remove the old one, please? I can remove the valve ok, its just the seal/washer

Thanks for both replies. I am waiting for my insurer to speak to their underwriter regarding whether they will insure an unlocked room or not. I have looked at travel goods but cannot see anything suitable as the door needs locking on exit. One thing I did find though on the web is Entrance knob...
