    You r right doyle but i beleve its got to be disposed off in a safe manner ,canny just put it the nearest bucket or skip.Not that we didnt do that 20 or so years ago, some middle aged plumbers and heating engineers must be ticking time bombs. :shock:

    As long as you don't disturb the asbestos it's fine to leave in situ. If you got to remove better get it risk assessed and leave it to a specialist firm to remove and dispose off.Can be a tad expensive.

    don't see why not ,Is there any reason why it was done this way in the 1st place? Sounds like a quick in and out installation to me.Wee bit expensive 4 the customer if it was they that paid 4 the initial installation.But hey go 4 it if its an easy access under the floor.

    You wont be cheating or making a false claim son if it was an accident. Anyway you may or may not get a lid and will have to replace at the very least the pan and cistern,if you can get one to match as well. Deal with these issues on a regular basis and have ended up replacing whole suit...

    Move house!!!!!!!!! No seriously did they tell you what pressure was/is ,Did they do a flow test as well usually its not a drop in pressure but flow. Are your neighbours having same problems ?Could be you may have an underground leak.

    House settling !!!you live in an area with underground workings ? Depends on what you mean by coming away as Dan says a pic would help, if its only a gap at rear and the unit has not come loose then apply some silicon sealant.

    Supatap thats a blast from the past must be older than a look can remember rewashering them in the late 70s when a worked with the cooncil .If a remember right you could rewasher without turning water off. :D
