After just over a month of singing pipes, it's back! Is there anything else I should check. Maybe I missed a o-ring or seal or something Very frustrating!

Cleaning the heat exchanger did work for about 2 months but the issue came back again. I cleaned it again early December while replacing the o-rings on the 3 way valve (separate issue) but so far no repeat of the hot & cold issue. If it does come back, I’ll give it another clean & replace...

Just to close the thread, I've replaced the 2 small o-rings inside the 3 way valve and at last no more singing pipes! This forum is amazing!

Thanks tony, look like I'll be getting a new sensor tomorrow. The only thing I don't understand us why the faulty light does not flash all the time? It only flashes after running the dhw or when you disconnect it

'suggesting', interesting word! I swapped over the CH & DHW sensor cables, we got warm water (not hot enough for a bath) but the boiler did not go out. The CH did not work though. Not really sure what this tells me!

Just tried to run a bath, the boiler ignites and the first three LEDs light up (50C) then it goes out & the hot water led flashes again. It reignites and does the same thing over and over again! I think I'm going to try replacing the hot water sensor

The led that flashes then goes out is the tap with a line through it. The dhw micro switch seems ok as when the push rod comes out the dhw led lights up straight away. Thanks Adam

Thanks DP & Agile. I hope its not the PCB as I changed that back in June. Not sure what to do next, maybe you are right its time to call an engineer as the problem is intermittent. We've had some hot water today, the boiler fires fine & the water stays hot then next time we turn the taps...

Hi I've got a Baxi Combi 105e and about 2 months ago was getting the hot water issue, the how water got warm, then cold, then warm etc. Eventually the water would not get hot at all. The hot water light on the boiler came on when the taps were turned on, the boiler would then try to ignite...

Unfortunately I get the same hot, cold, hot etc water issue with the taps! Any ideas please...

I think we do have the same issue with the taps but I'll double check tonight, cheers

I’m also now experiencing the hot, cold, hot water issue again! I cleaned the primary heat exchanger about a few months ago which resolved this but this issue has come back again! Is this related to the o-rings I need to replace? I’ve raised another post on this separate issue...

I'm really struggling which o rings to replace. Are the o rings external on the 3 way assembly valve as shown in this picture or inside the valve? or are they these ones on the inside/push rod?

I'm sure I got an overhaul kit before but could not get it back on with the new o rings so put the old ones back on! Thanks

Are all the o rings external, ie the ones connecting to the flow pipes or are there o rings inside the valve? I did replace the diaphragm earlier the year but decided not to replace the o Rings as I could not get the valve back on on with new o rings. How I wish I changed them now!
