    Rebar, Ribbed steel rod

I am in leeds, does anyone know where I can buy 8mm rebar or 8mm ribbed steel rods, locally. I have been buying this http://www.wickes.co.uk/ribbed-steel-rod-8mm-x1m/invt/188299/?source=123_74 but it is expensive. I need it to make horse rug hangers.

Thanks for you replies. The battery will be out of both our reach on a shelf in the overhang at the front of the stable. I have done this before and use step ladders to get it down for charging. The light is 12v with a 50w low voltage bulb.
