When you take the motor off you will see that its got to fit back so when its turning it will open / close the body its pretty straight forward to change the motor just make sure you have a small screwdriver and get some strip connectors if you do it right its a 10 min job

wHAT SYSTEM IS IT and what rads dont heat up are they the furthest from boiler or just 3 in different parts of house

What boiler have you got in,if you can get accsess to the pipework easy enough by the boiler just fit one coming off the flow,is it a back boiler ?

you could try wire wool on the tip see if its build up od crap is stopping the flame being enough to keep the t/c closed but its 99% gone as you say,some flamingos im sure have there own t/coupler what model is yours

just looking at it,is the boiler casing off and can you see the pilot flame when you light it,is it a decent size flame or small and is it touching the thermocoupler tip

a universal im very sure will do it,but how big is the pilot flame and is it touching the actual T/C tip

In the past the t/couplers that were replaced did they 100% get the right ones and do it correctley.Ive been too 2 this week were they had been fitted with uni t/couplers and just joined the overheat stat cables together and left for 4 years and 18 months i cant see the point,its dangerous and...

when theres 240 to it is the centre spinning fasat against your screwdriver or do you turn it yourself

Right undo the vent on the pump in the middle,then turn it on and see if its running if its not has it got 240 there whe nyou try your heating ,is there any valves turned off under boiler or is pressure ok and is system all vented ans auto air vent open

What prices are you getting charged now for 15mm and 22mm i know its still around £40+ for 15mm and £80+for 22mm surely now it should be back down to a normal rate

thats why boilers have t/stats on so you can have it to go off on a lower temp and boilers have built in by passes now so its not the norm now to leave a rad without a trv on

My point being your proplem with dirty water from the taps could just be the mains inlet being filthy,has there been any work done in the area on the water mains?,

Did you see the sludge in the heating side of the system or did he just tell you its really bad

The loop will be under the boiler normally but it could be above it but very likely under boiler
