the nearest pipe is behind the property under a footpath and it may be less than 2 meters from the boundary. However i am concerned about the brick wall at the back of the property. How is the pipe supposed to go under the wall and then into the property?

I just realised that the £200 was if i dig the trench in my property, if the national grid is to dig in my property then the price is £565 ex vat. Also there is no disruption of any traffic.

Well i just found it, i tried to get a quote before but you have to pay. after searching their site more i came upon this. its a nice tool it shows you where all pipe lines are however they are not able to give you an indicative price if the new pipe will have to pass through a road

Amazingly there is a gas mains pipe about 2 meters from the property with no disruption on any road. I got an indicative price from national grid at £200. You can use this tool to get an indicative price for your property...
